In September, we kicked off the Marketing Innovator’s luncheon series with a fantastic presentation by Google’s director of Business Markets, Jen Howard. She set the stage for a line up of blockbuster keynote speakers this fall who are all focused on a theme of B2B Marketing 3.0.

Next up, we are honored to have a team from Spencer Stuart as they unveil their new research study: Talent 3.0: Preparing for the Digital Leadership Challenge.  This study was prompted by the new realities in which digital technology is profoundly changing the way the business world works and how we market. At the BMA luncheon on Thursday, October 7th, Dana Wade and Chris Nadherny will unveil this new research and share important insights gathered from many of today’s leading marketers. Everyone who attends the lunch will also receive a complimentary copy of the full research report so you can go back to your office and share it with the rest of your organization.

As a reminder, mark your calendars for November 4, when we are honored to host Phil Kotler as he presents his new book, Marketing 3.0, it’s good reading and available on your iPad, Kindle or at your local bookstore. And, in December we will welcome Matt Preschern from IBM, as he illustrates how IBM has implemented the concepts we’ve been talking about all Fall:  B2B Marketing 3.0.

We also have a bonus program during the month of October that is free to all BMA members. On October 13th, a light lunch and presentation will be hosted simultaneously at three different locations in the Chicagoland area: Navistar will be our host in Warrenville, Motorola will be our host in Schaumburg and Google will be our host downtown. This is part of a national program that will be broadcast live from Denver Colorado, featuring a panel of experts on Digital Marketing. We thank our member companies, Motorola, Navistar and Google for hosting this event, which, again, is free to all BMA members. In addition to another terrific program we hope it provides a great opportunity for you to connect with marketing peers that are located in your area: downtown, western suburbs or northern suburbs.

Finally, if you haven’t attended one of our luncheons in recent years, I strongly encourage you to carve out time and make this a priority. Ninety percent of the people who attend BMA luncheons indicate it was time well spent and an insightful presentation.   This year we are focused on innovation, looking forward, and preparing for the challenges ahead. I look forward to seeing you Thursday October 7th, when Spencer Stuart takes the stage at BMA Chicago.

All the best,

Linda Meenan
